About Technology & Innovation

Technology is becoming one of the most important drivers of Tanzania's next phase of economic and social development. At the centre of this transformation is Unicx AI Data Limited, a Tanzanian technology company focused on building practical digital solutions around Artificial Intelligence, data, automation and digital infrastructure. Under the strategic leadership and guidance of its Chairman, Unicx AI is developing technology that goes beyond software – creating systems that help institutions, businesses and communities digitize information, improve decision-making and build smarter digital ecosystems. One of the company's key areas of work is digital transformation. Through projects such as KKKT Digital, Unicx AI is supporting the development of digital systems that improve communication, access to information, data management and engagement with communities. The KKKT partnership has included areas such as data intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, connectivity and digital infrastructure. Unicx AI is also supporting the transformation of the informal and artisan economy through its work with Chama Cha Mafundi Tanzania (CMT). The technology enables artisans to become more visible and connected to customers, opportunities, financial services and digital markets, while creating a foundation for professional digital identities and structured data for Tanzania's artisan sector. The company's vision extends further into AI infrastructure, data centres, blockchain, smart contracts and intelligent digital platforms. These technologies can support secure transactions, trusted data exchange, digital identities, traceability and more efficient management of information across different sectors. From digitizing institutional records and social activities to developing AI-powered systems and building the infrastructure required for Africa's digital economy, Unicx AI is positioning itself as part of a new generation of Tanzanian technology companies building locally, solving real problems and preparing the country for an increasingly data-driven future.
